Caucasus Roadtrip Part 1/3 - Azerbaijan 2018

Hi guys!

In April me, my boyfriend and a couple of friends went on a roadtrip to Caucasus. We landed in Tbilisi and took a night train to Baku. We stayed there for a few days and then went back to Tbilisi, where we rented a car and drove around Georgia and Armenia.

Simple DIY Scary Halloween Costume Ideas

Hi guys!

Since Halloween is just around the corner I decided to make a blog post about it. I just love dressing up and I think I'll never get tired of it or grow out of it. 🙈 I always try to DIY some kind of costume and of course I prefer scary ones, because it's so much fun, especially when it's time for makeup. If you like dressing up but don't have any ideas, keep on reading. I put together a list of costumes that you can basically DIY at the last minute and they still look great on the party. 😇

1. Satan's brides

We kind of made this one up but it looked incredible. We wore black and red dresses and accessories. We DIYed the masks (painted them black and added some red glitter just around the eyes) and bouquets (bought some fake red roses and used some black tulle as a base). We used some black tulle as a veil and wore our hair in a mohawk-styled half updo. The makeup was strong black smokey eyes (you can see a tutorial here) and red lips. And lastly, you need a Satan 😈 (ours is just wearing a red shirt, black tie, pants and mask and a wig with horns).

2. Ripped fabric dolls

This one is very simple. You just need some girly dress and some tulle for the hair bow. The main thing is makeup - make your skin pale, add a lot of blush and use a little eye-shadow. Draw some fabric patches on your skin ad line them with eyeliner. You can be extra and actually cut some pieces of fabric and stick them on your fake with glue for lashes (if you do, tell me how it goes, I bet it look amazing).

3. Black widows

We wore black dressed and made skirts using white tulle. To connect the look, we placed some of the white tulle also around our torsos and in our hair. The key in this look is again the makeup. I got the idea form a tutorial of Julia Graf (you can check it out here).

4. Pumpkin
You can see the tutorial in my video. It's a bit less scary and a bit more funny in my opinion, but it's a must when doing a costume ideas for Halloween. Remember sluty pumpkin from HIMYM? 😜

5. Skeleton

Last one is the easiest. Just wear black and using a picture of a skull do the makeup. Start with white and then use black for the details. You can wear your hair like you want them, I just think the two buns look very interesting in contrast to harsh makeup.

Lemon cake with blueberry filling from scratch

Hi guys!

Today I have a cake recipe that is not chocolate! Can you believe it? Me neither 😛

Well my nephews don't love chocolate as much as I do, so when they came over last week, I baked a lemon cake with blueberry filling for them and they loved it. That's why I'm shearing this simple recipe with you, so you can impress your loved ones with it 😉

INGREDIENTS:

For cake:

230 g of butter (room temperature)

250 g of sugar

4 eggs

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

1 tablespoon of lemon zest

200 ml of milk

60 ml of lemon juice

400 g of flour

2 teaspoons of baking powder

½ a teaspoon of salt

For filling:

500 g of mascarpone cheese

50 g of sugar

500 g of blueberries

For decor:

500 g of mascarpone cheese

some blueberries and some slices of lemon

DIRECTIONS:

Let's bake:

Mix butter and sugar. Add 3 eggs, lemon zest and vanilla extract. Take two bowls. The first one is for dry ingredients (flour, baking powder and salt) – mix with a spatula to make even. The second bowl is for milk and lemon juice – mix until well combined. Now it's time to slowly add some dry ingredients in butter mixture. Mix well and add some milk with lemon. Continue until you add everything. Bake in preheated oven at 180℃ for about 40 minutes. Let cool.

Make the filling:

While the cake is cooling, mix mascarpone cheese (500 g) with sugar (50 g). Wash and dry the blueberries.

Time to assemble:

Cut the cake in half. Bottom one should go to the top. because it's usually more even and it looks nicer. So take the top one and put it on you serving plate. Spread the mixture of mascarpone cheese with sugar on top. Not put on top your blueberries. Use palms of your hands to push them inside the cream. Put on top the bottom part of your cake and cover with mascarpone cheese. Decorate with some blueberries and lemon slices.

Apartment Makeover - Before VS After

Hi guys!

Today I finally have the apartment makeover video for you! Me and my boyfriend moved in over a year ago, and we're finally ready to share what we've done with the place. Still have some changes planned for the near future, but for now, we are happy with it.
