Travel diary - Seychelles (part 1)

10:00 AM

As promised, it's time for travel journal from Seychelles day by day. ;)

So let's start! :D

The first day was nothing special - we spent most of it on the planes. We flew with Turkish Airlines and the planes were very nice. On the morning of the second day we were supposed to take the plane from Mahe to Praslin and we almost missed it because we had to wait on the plane form Istanbul for health inspection. So when we finally arrived at the airport on Mahe we had only 20 minutes to do get our baggage, get to the domestic terminal and do the check-in. It was qiute stressful and we had to run around the airport, but now when I think about it, it's very funny. xD
Anyway, we made it on the small plane (it was late - this was the first encounter of the laid-back life on the island). ;)

When we arrived to Praslin, we used the bus (it was only 30 cents for about 15 kilometers) to get to the AirBnB. The place we were staying was very nice and with a homely atmosphere. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. We had a nice room with two huge beds, bathroom and a refrigerator. There was free wifi and a shared kitchen. The place is called Coco bay villa and it's located in Cote d'Or, if anyone is wandering.

After accommodating in Coco bay villa, we went to a local store and then to the closest beach - Anse Volbert. We loved it and walked all around, just admiring all the beauty.

Then we decided, we should go check out the most famous beach - Anse Lazio. We took the bus again and had to walk for a few minutes. But when we finally got there, we weren't disappointed. We spent the rest of the day there, taking pictures and bathing. It was raining for a few minutes, but we hid under a palm-tree and it was quite fun. :D

The only downside was, that the buses work only to about 5 or 6 pm, so we had to leave way too soon. After a bumpy ride (like all bus rides on Praslin - it's like going on a roller coaster) we bought a coconut from a local and enjoyed it on Anse Volbert.

Next, we bought some food form a food truck nearby and it was delicious and very cheap (about 5 euros each). After buying food for the next day in a shop, we went to Coco bay villa an relaxed for a few minutes.

Then we went for an evening walk on the beach. It was very calm and relaxing, until we saw a rey. Then we hurried back to our "hotel". :P Since the last two days were very exhausting, we fell asleep very fast.

This is all for beginning, I'll be back with next few days in 4 weeks (or maybe there will be additional blog posts about my travel diary - you tell me). ;)
Hope you enjoyed it, if you did, subscribe to my blog and follow me on Facebook. If you want a sneak peak in the next few days on Seychelles, you can check my Instagram @elarosaria - I've been posting pics from my trip there for a while now. ;)
