Nona's recipes - "Packarija"
1:33 PMHi guys!
Today I have a special treat for you. I decided to share some my grandmother's recipes. She was the best cook in the entire world and I'm so glad that I got to learn from her. I will share a few of her simple specialties. Hope you'll enjoy them.
First one is my favorite breakfast when I was little. I still remember when I had a sleepover my friends always asked if my nona (that's how I called my grandmother) could make "packarija". If you are wondering - "packarija" means "a mess" in Slovene. Throughout this series, you'll see that my nona had awesome ideas for naming the dishes she made. 😛
So, let's start! 😊
What you'll need (for 2):
- milk (0,5 liter)
- eggs (2)
- flour (as needed, about 2 tbs)
- sugar, cacao, fruit ... (whatever you want to put on top)
Step 1: Mix the eggs in a small bowl. Add some flour. Mix well and if it's too dense, add some milk. The goal is to get a consistency of a cake mix.
Step 2: Put some milk on the oven and heat it up until it almost boils. Be careful and mix it all the time! Then lower the heat.
Step 3: Slowly pour in the mixture you made earlier. The best way is to pour while circling around the pot with milk.
Step 4: Cook for a few more minutes on medium to low heat and mix gently.
Now add your toppings and enjoy, bon appetit. 😋
