Simple spring to summer makeup
9:57 AMHi guys :)
Hope you're enjoying this hot sunny weather as much as I am. ;)
Since it's so hot, I figured how I do my spring/summer makeup so that it doesn't melt off. 😂
I don't actually do this every day, but only when I fell like it, for example if I want something more out there then just BB cream and mascara. 😛
I think this makeup look is easy and simple, but looks fancy without spending a lot of money or time. Also you won't need a big eye shadow pallet, only a small Essence one, so it's perfect for travel, which is always a plus.
So let's begin. 😊
STEP 1: Start with a clean face. Apply a sunscreen with high SPF. The sun is shining even when you're not on a beach. :p I use the Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Weightless Face Sunscreen SPF 30 (http://www.hawaiiantropic.com/sun-care-products/hawaiian-tropic-silk-hydration-weightless-face-sunscreen).
I love it because it's not heavy and it feels very smooth.
STEP 2: Then I use the Garnier BB Cream Combination To Oily Skin (http://www.garnier.co.uk/skin-care/beauty/garnier/b-b-cream-miracle-skin-perfector/bb-cream-combination-to-oily-skin-light).
It's obviously not high coverage, but I think it's enough for me. I hate having heavy makeup on during spring and summer.
STEP 3: Since the BB cream doesn't cover up all the blemishes, I then apply the Meybelline Affinitone Concealer (https://www.amazon.com/Maybelline-Affinitone-Concealer-7-5ml-02-Natural/dp/B00YBYDHSS?th=1) on all the spots, on the bridge of my nose and under my eyes.
STEP 4: Of course I don't leave the concealer this way. 😜 I use my beauty blender to blend well.
STEP 5: Next, I use my Essence Matifying Compact Powder (https://www.essence.eu/products/face/powder/e/product/mattifying-compact-powder-01/) to fix the foundation, so it doesn't melt off my face when I'm running around all day. 😛
STEP 6: Now it's time for the eyes. I use this Essence Quattro Eyeshadow pallet (https://www.essence.eu/products/eyes/eyeshadows/e/product/quattro-eyeshadow-05/).
I marked the shadows from 1 to 4 and used corresponding numbers to mark where on my eyelids I put this color.
You can use a brush or your fingers to apply the shadows. Either way, use two (or two fingers or two brushes) - one for darker colors (start with lighter and then apply the darker one) and the other one for lighter shadows (start with non-shimmering color and then go to the shimmering one).
STEP 7: Next step is eyeliner. I'm using Eyestudio Master Graphic Liquid Eyeliner from Maybelline (https://www.maybelline.com/ eye-makeup/eyeliner/eyestudio- master-graphic-liquid-eye- liner). I did a thin line, because I want to keep this look sweet and simple. 😇
STEP 8: Now it's time for some highlighter. I'm using the Essence Shape Your Face Contouring Palette (https://www.essence.eu/trend- editions/try-it-love-it-0216/ e/product/essence-shape-your- face-contouring-palette-10/). I put it on my cheekbones, on the bridge of my nose and above my lips.
STEP 9: Using the same palette as above, I put the dark color on each side of my nose, under my cheekbones and on the top sides of my face.
STEP 10: Time to curl the lashes. 😉 I'm using my Essence Eyelash Curler (https://www.essence.eu/en/ trend-editions/hugs-and- kisses/e/product/eyelash- curler/).
STEP 11: Next, I put on my Misslyn Lolita Lashes Push-Up Effect Mascara (https://www.misslyn.de/en/ augen/mascara/lolita-lashes- push-up-effect-mascara/).
STEP 12: Then I fill in my brows with Max Factor Eyebrow Pencil - I'm in color Hazel (https://maxfactor.co.uk/make-up-products/eyes/eyeliner/max-factor-eyebrow-pencil).
STEP 13: We're almost there - time to comb your brows, so they look super nice. 😉
STEP 14: The last thing to do is apply lipstick. For spring and summer I like bright colors like this Velvet Passion Matte Lipstick from Kiko in color Warm pink (http://www.kikocosmetics.com/en-si/make-up/lips/lipsticks/Velvet-Passion-Matte-Lipstick-301/p-KM0020102030144)
So here it is, the final look. Hope you enjoyed it. If you try it, be sure to tag me on Instagram @elarosaria.
